Simple personal and business calendar - see a full year at ones - print out full year on one sheet of a paper - open and see a lot of years at ones - enter not limited text as a "Memo" for each day in every year - additionally enter not limited text as a "Red Day" for each day in every year (relevant events like a Birthdays or Holidays) - additionally enter not limited text as an "Alarm" for each day in every year (for relevant events like a soon coming Birthdays or Meetings) - set a date and time when that "Alarm" messages should be shown - set a "repeat every year" check for any "Red Day", to show it in the same day and month every year - define many Projects for every year (usually up to twenty, it is limited by the width of your display only) - set an own color for every Project - set "draw long line" for any Project to see it as a line from Start to End date - check a Project's event for any day as a small colored rectangle First steps: How to input your first project: - start VIDay and press "Enter" - input project name "Jogging", press "Select" button and select a color for this project - press "Add" button and a new project "Jogging" will be shown in a project list. Press "OK" to close the "Day" Dialog - double click at any day by left mouse button to open the "Day" Dialog for that day - point to the "Jogging" project in a project list. Check "checked". Press "OK" - you will see that day with a small colored retangle How to input your Birthday: - double click at your Birthday by left mouse button to open the "Day" Dialog for that day - select "Red day" in "Texts" - enter a text, for example "My Birthday!" - check "repeat every year". Press OK - you will see your Birthday with a red color number in the year table (current year and all other years) - point by mouse at your red day number and you will see your red-text "My Birthday!" at the bottom How to input "Alarm" message: - double click at your Birthday by left mouse button to open the "Day" Dialog for that day - select a date (one day before for example) and a time for alarm message select "Alarm at" in "Texts" - enter a text, for example "Tomorrow it will be my Birthday!". Press OK - you will see your Alarmed day with a small red rectangle left from day's number in the year table - now, when you will start VIDay at that date, the Alarm message "Tomorrow it will be my Birthday!" will appeare How to use it: - start VIDay and you will see a current year in a window. Change a size of a window to adjust a view - the "Today" date will be marked as a yellow cell. Use arrow keys to move around the year table - use "New" button or menu "File / New" to open an additional year window if you need - use "Y+" or "Y-" buttons or menu "View / Year+ Year-" to change the year number (to the next or previous) - use "T" button or menu "View / Today" or "Home" key to return to the today's date from any date or year - use the conforming buttons or menu "View" to show / hide day numbers, colored sundays, project lines, memo and alarm markers, red days markers - make a mouse double click at any day (or press Enter) to show a "Day Dialog" - input any text as a "Memo" for this day. The days with not empty "Memo" will be marked by a blue point left from day's number - to remove a "Memo", simply remove this text - input any text as a "Red day" for this day. The days with not empty "Red day" will be marked as red day's number - check "repeat every year" and this day of month will be shown red and with the same text for every year - to remove a "Red day", simply remove this text - input any text as an"Alarm" for this day. The days with not empty "Alarm" will be marked by a red point left from day's number - set date and time when this "Alarm" text should be shown - to remove a "Alarm", simply remove this text - add a Projects for current year: - input a name for a new Project, select a color for this Project, press "Add" button - check "draw long line" and input a start and end dates for any project - to make a changes select a project, make a changes and press "Change" button to save a changes for this project - to delete a project select a project in the list and press "Delete" button - check "checked" (or make a mouse double click in project list) to draw a small colored rectangle for selected project Hints: - point the mouse to the red day's number or "Memo"/"Alam" rectangles to see the begin of your Memo, Red day and Alarm texts in the status line at a bottom of year's window - the changes you have made in a current year will be saved when you - close a year window - exit a program - press "Today" button (or "Home" key) - change year number - to adjust a year on a sheet of paper adjust the "Print preview window" size - all year files are saved in the YEARS directory as a *.year files (2008.year etc). - If you are going to reinstall the Windows, Archive that YEARS directory, reinstall the VIDay program and copy the archived YEARS directory to VIDay's working directory - you can start and keep working VIDay in the morning to see alarm messages (it used very little resources at your computer) - you can use a special day (for example the 01 Januar) to collect all current year things (phones, names, emails etc) in the "Memo" Keys: - use Arrow buttons to move the day-marker around the current year - use "Home" button (or right mouse button click) to go to Today's date - use "Page Up" or "Page Down" buttons to show the next or previous year
